On September 26, 2025, the second dissemination event for the eFABIS R&D Project was held at BINARIAL’s facilities in Ames, within the framework of the Smart and Sustainable Factory Program.
eFABIS (Advanced Manufacturing Ecosystem for Sustainable Industrial Wellbeing) was created with the mission of digitizing, automating, and making the production of key components for electric vehicles more sustainable. This project, supported by the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN) and co-financed by the European Union through the FEDER program, represents a strong commitment to Industry 4.0 with a Galician signature.
Our role: digital intelligence at the service of industry
At BINARIAL, we lead the development of advanced solutions in artificial intelligence, computer vision, and industrial analytics—key pillars of the transformation proposed by eFABIS. Our goal is clear: to turn data into intelligent decisions that optimize processes, reduce errors, and improve operational efficiency.
Our contributions to the project include:
- Intelligent robotics for internal transport.
- Implementation of AI algorithms for real-time decision-making.
- Development of predictive analytics and smart maintenance tools.
An innovation ecosystem with real impact
Collaboration with BorgWarner, which is developing its new plant in Vigo as an advanced production center, and with CTAG – Automotive Technology Center of Galicia, a technological benchmark in automotive, allows us to integrate our digital capabilities into a top-tier industrial environment. Together, we are advancing in three key areas:
- Advanced manufacturing processes for electric vehicle components.
- Intelligent robotics and collaborative automation.
- Internal 4.0 logistics with autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).
