Visit of the Conselleira of Economy and Industry to Binarial’s Facilities

The Conselleira highlights that the subsidies, which had a budget of 10 million euros, were “a success for companies.”

The Conselleira of Economy and Industry, María Jesús Lorenzana, announced today an additional 5 million euros in funding for projects based on artificial intelligence in order to “reach the largest number of companies possible.”

The Conselleira visited this midday in Milladoiro (Ames) the facilities of Binarial and Sinerxia, companies that are already applying technological solutions. She highlighted that these grants initially had a budget of 10 million euros and were “a success for companies.” In the coming days, the Diario Oficial de Galicia (DOG) will publish the budget increase for the innovative IA360 Program, launched for the first time this year and aimed at technological development and innovation through the application of artificial intelligence to various production processes and commercialization.

During the visit, Lorenzana emphasized that “for us, it is essential to support and accompany the companies that are currently providing advanced technological solutions to the industry, which increase business competitiveness and modernize other companies.”

In this context, she explained that these grants are designed so that “gradually, especially Galician SMEs, can invest in increasing their competitiveness by expanding these technological solutions and applying new technologies and artificial intelligence to the entire production process.”

Finally, María Jesús Lorenzana recalled the significant support of the Galician Government for digital transformation during this legislature, with the creation of a new specific innovation area within Igape, funded with more than 80 million euros to strengthen the productive fabric.
